RIP SIMMO
Today, as I write this I am informed of some very sad news, the passing of a stroke SURVIVOR Graham Simmons. In the short time that John & I have known Graham and his lovely wife Sue, one thing that stood out was their passion and drive for the right thing, Graham fought for anything that he thought was right and fair. It is true that we got on like a house on fire mainly because of his love for Manchester United, he was a proper bloke, sometimes an awkward ole bugger but he had his reasons. It was only a few weeks ago when I went to see G and Sue at Stepping Hill and he looked fabulous, no honestly he did, it is true that he wasn’t well, he wasn’t eating well and Sue wanted to get him home to have time with him. When someone passes and they are remembered on their gravestone etc its always the dates that stand out, well in this case the dates are something like 1946 – 2016, but as a lesson to us all they are just dates the bit that is the most important is the – because that was the time they were alive. May you rest in Peace Simmo and we will be here for Sue an d anyone else impacted by STROKE, God Bless Pal and I will raise a glass for you later.
